Hasan Doğan Piker was born July 25, 1991 in New Jersey to wealthy parents, who are professors. He has a younger brother. He went to a school of the arts and has an interest in drawing. He was obsessed with American culture, so much so he developed an American accent.
He moved to Ameica when he was 18, first going to Univesity of Miami to double major in political science and communicaions. He then transfered to Rutgers Univeristy in New Jersey, where he meets his best friend Will Neff, then graduating in 2013 with honors.
He moved to Los Angeles, California after graduating. He struggle to find a job so he asked his uncle Cenk, creator of the online political show The Young Turks. He worked as a sales person then worked to build advertisement and operations. Later handling TYT's Facebook operations.
Wanting to do more, he started, The Breakdown, and broadcasted it on Facebook, gaining millions of viewers and being nominated for a Shorty and Webby award. He soon after wanted more autonomy and creative control, then pushing people to his other platforms, using Twitch as his primary source.
